Tom Prevot

I am a Senior Research Engineer with San Jose State University and have been working in the Human Factors Research and Technology Division at NASA Ames Research Center since 1996.

My research goal is to improve aviation safety and air traffic efficiency by designing and evaluating intelligent computer systems that support flight crews and air traffic controllers/managers in managing the increasing air traffic demand of the future. My main research focus is on human-automation interaction and air/ground integration in the future air traffic environment.

I received my PhD in Aerospace Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) from the Universitaet der Bundeswehr Muenchen in 1995 for my work on autonomous and co-operative on-board flight planning and flight crew/automation interaction.
