  Kim Jobe received a bachelor's degree and an M.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University (CV - PDF). While at San Jose State she worked with Dr. Kevin Jordan in the area of visual perception. She came to NASA Ames Research Center as Research Assistant with the Aviation Flight Safety Research Branch in 1991 and was involved with research on projects in aviation human factors.

Kim completed her Master’s thesis project at NASA Ames on the effect of automation on workload management and pilot role. She was then hired as a Senior Research Associate working with Dr. Key Dismukes. The group has conducted research on funded projects in aviation human factors (e.g., crew communication, adult learning methods, prospective memory) with particular attention to operational teams.
