The AC (Aircraft) State panel provides a good summary of all your aircraft's status information. 

When in Pilot Mode, you are always responsible for the selected aircraft.  On slower computers, it may seem like it is difficult to allow the computer to recover from serious lags since you are always selecting one aircraft.  The "Deselect Aircraft" button will help, providing a way to not select any aircraft.  Simply click the button, and all the displays you have selected will go blank, as they can only display the information for a selected aircraft.
