General Aviation Education & Training Module

Purpose

The NASA Ames Fatigue Countermeasures Group created the Education & Training Module (ETM) to provide the General Aviation (GA) community with information about fatigue, sleep, and circadian rhythms in flight operations, and to recommend strategies for managing alertness in the aviation system. This online version of the module leads you through the information in an interactive format.

The GA ETM will take approximately 40 minutes to complete in its entirety. However, readers can complete the module in multiple installments if desired. An e-mail address will be necessary to login to the module so one can enter and exit at his or her convenience.

System Requirements

Flash 5 Player: This client is required to access the module. Once you open the module, the program will automatically search for Flash 5 Player on your system. If it does not detect Flash 5 Player, it will provide a link for you to download the Player from the Macromedia website for free. For more information regarding system requirements for Flash 5 Player, visit the Macromedia Flash Support Center.

PC users: Netscape Navigator 3.0 or greater; Internet Explorer 3.0 or greater

Mac users: Netscape Navigator 3.0 or greater (the module will not work on Internet Explorer for Mac)

- If you do not have Netscape, download it here for free.

Linux/Solaris/IRIX users: Netscape Navigator 4.0 or greater
