The Human Systems Integration Division hosted a booth at the 2019 Bay Area Science Festival Discovery Day
(Nov 4, 2019)
On November 2, 2019, the Human Systems Integration Division hosted a booth at the 2019 Bay Area Science Festival (BASF) Discovery Day at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The festival featured STEM-based demonstrations, exciting experiments and fun-filled activities for all ages. Several organizations from NASA Ames Research Center were on hand to talk about their work and share their love of science through interactive activities and exhibits. Visitors to the Human Systems Integration Division booth were able to interact with Playbook, NASA’s premier mission planning tool, get a glimpse of UTM, a drone air traffic management system, and handle human fatigue research equipment, including a custom EEG (electroencephalogram). Division staff, including researchers from the Fatigue Countermeasures Lab and the Human-Autonomy Teaming Lab were on hand to talk about the division's research and distribute outreach materials. More information on the division is at https://hsi.arc.nasa.gov.
