NASA and the U.S. Air Force Launch Collaborative Research Agreement
(Nov 26, 2019)
NASA and the U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command (AETC) have formed a collaborative research agreement, focusing on biometric data collection and the use of emerging technologies in the Air Force's Pilot Training Next (PTN) curriculum. This research will bring new advancements to the student-pilot learning environment.

Researchers from the Human Systems Integration Division's Fatigue Countermeasures Lab have been integral in this effort, lending their expertise in the areas of human performance and fatigue, as well as their experience in the collection and analysis of biometric data. This partnership will help identify the physiological and cognitive factors that contribute to optimal student learning and will also usher in the use of innovative technologies as they relate to eye-tracking data visualization and multi-modal human interfaces.
