Dr. Patricia Cowings of the Human Systems Integration Division was selected to receive this year's Ames African American Advisory Group's (AAAG) Achievement Award. This award is to celebrate the outstanding achievements of people of color at NASA Ames Research Center as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors. The award was presented at the African American History Month Celebration on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Ames Conference Center. Dr. Cowings, who is the principal investigator of the Psychophysiological Research Laboratory, was recognized for her support of the African American Advisory Group in the area of "Science & Research".
