Dr. Beau Watson was in Washington, DC this week to attend the Presidential Rank Award Ceremony. Each year, the President of the United States recognizes a small group of career Senior Executives and Senior Professionals with the Presidential Rank Award. Award winners are chosen through a rigorous selection process in which they are nominated by their agency heads, evaluated by boards comprised of private citizens, and approved by the President. Recipients are leaders, professionals, and scientists who achieve results and demonstrate strength, integrity, industry and a commitment to excellence in public service. Dr. Watson received the award for his leadership and distinguished contributions in the areas of vision science and human factors through his work in the Human Systems Integration Division.
