Current and Ongoing Work:
- Lead of the Automation Interaction Design Group: The Automation Interaction Design Tools (AIDT) group is focused on developing methods to
improve the design of complex systems. The work centers on a formal approach to the design
and representation of the information for interaction with automated systems. The team is
currently working on tools for the representation of automation, task and human behavior.
- Associate Principal Investigator for the System Design and Analysis element of the Integrated Intelligent Flight Deck Project.
- Principal Investigator for the Automation Interaction Design Tools task of the Space Human Factors Engineering Project.
- NASA representative to the Human Computer Interaction and Information Management subcommittee of the National Coordination Office for Networking and Information Technology (NITRD).
